I know I can't feed supers to my babies till they are at least 16"... But what if part of their tail is missing?

Since the digestive system doesn't know the piece is missing, just estimate how long that missing part is and add that to the total length of the beardie.

I won't tell. :D

And...

IMO the 16" rule for supers and the don't feed mealworms mantra are just general guidelines that err on the side of caution.

I think small supers would be ok for some smaller dragons and my beardie was fed exclusively mealworms for many months, by an uniformed owner, and it lived.

I'm not advising that you don't follow these guidelines. You should, to be on the safe side.
But, there is some "wiggle room" with them.

I notice that too.. I've seen people feed super to a dragon that was no longer than 8". If rather not push it.. :(

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
