my bearded dragon spike will be sitting down on his hammock and will randomly start just whipping his tail like crazy! what does this mean? please help its worring me to death
Tail Whipping - There are two different tail whipping motions, one being the motion of the tail whipping around in circles while a dragon is being picked up. This happens when the dragon feels it is not securely being held. Tod avoid this always support the hind legs and tail as well as the rest of the underside of the dragon when picking it up and holding it. The second tail whipping motion is displayed by females during mating displays. This is their way of attracting the males and getting their attention to let them know that they are willing to mate.
From your videos you can tell you know how to hold him cuase he obviously trusts you pretty well. that weird though that he puts himself in a situation of being uncomfortable but then again they are just babies and beardies aren't the most intelligent of the lizard world.iLOVEmySPIKE":2ymc0b69 said:i never put him on the hammock he jumps up there himself... and yea i no how to hold him and everythiing like he doesnt do that when i hold him also i noticed he does it when he sees his reflection lol
Yea but they grow at very different paces. once you get that reptisun i bet he will shoot up quick too. If you look on alot of breeders websites they have a wide range of sizes around the same age so it's perfectly normal for them not to grow as quickly.also try that dusting schedule i suggested of calcium every morning and vitamins every other morning(blend the calcium and vitamins together when you dust em wont matter).iLOVEmySPIKE":3eht1ka1 said:yea i guess so lol so i feel like my bearded dragon isnt growing and u were sayin he grw like an inch a week
