my beardie is 14 in long, male,and has been eating aTONNN lately. now he has a little bump above his shoulder and when i touch it he scratches at it with his hind leg. and his crap smellsss superrr bad. please help me

It the bump soft of solid? Does he have UVB, if so what type and how long have you had it?

he was diagnosed with MBD like a month ago. hes been on calciumnate everyday ever since. i had him since hes 3-4 months..its on the harder side

We need to know what UVB, if any, you have on your dragon. The reason for this is that without uvb, it affects their appetites and causes MBD. You need to get a good uvb, such as the Mega Ray, or the reptisun 10 tube. His MBD won't get better without quality UVB, infact it will get worse.

its a repti sun 5.0 coil. im going to get a 10.0 coil cuz my dr said that tube uvb is bull. the coil concentrates the uvb unlike the tube

The Repti-Sun 10.0 fluorescent tube is the best UVB you can get in the U.S. There have been MANY health issues from using coil and compact bulbs, perhaps your vet isn't aware of that.

You can get the UVB that I mentioned here at a very reasonable price. http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-fluorescent-bulbs/11442-504983/zoo-med-reptisun-10-0-uvb-bulb.html For the hood, you can go to Lowe's, Home Depot or even Walmart and buy a standard fluorescent bulb, remove the plastic cover and the bulb that comes with it, then put the UVB in and leave the plastic cover off. Those fixtures you can find as cheap as $8.00 at any of those stores.

Let us know how you make out, make sure you get the Repti-SUN 10.0 and NOT the Repti-GLO. You will be paying more if you get it from the pet store rather than ordering that bulb online.
