I'm not breeding Moose either, I've had 2 people ask me and he's strictly a pet I've made arrangements to get another beardie baby from the same breeder and they want me to get a female....but I want another boy :love5:

What exactly involves shipping to Canada?? Is it different with reptiles then with rodents??

I'm just asking because I used to own chinchillas and I personally never had any shipped in from other places but I know alot of people would have them shipped in from the US...

But I've read on Reptiles Canada that there is soooo much involved...I think it's Daichu that ships into Canada?? I'm not sure but I know of a few people that have Daichu dragons....actually Moose comes from Daichu lines...Capital Dragons in Ontario had a Daichu line going and that's where Moose's parents came from...

Anyways I never understood the whole thing about the border, it all seems too complicated for me!! I really, truly hope you find a loop hole

Brandy, maybe you could make use of the rescue train to transport one of Tom's babies up to you??? Or, if you're THAT desperate for a new baby (who wouldn't be), you COULD take a mini vacation down here and pick him/her up yourself.

I'm actually getting a new baby sometime this Summer....it will be Moose's half brother, same father but different mothers....her breeders are just starting to wake up now so it will be a little while yet.

Funny Moose story :lol:

So the other day we bought Moose a mealworm dish....I DO NOT feed mealorms but thought maybe I could use this dish for supers....

Moose hasn't been eating that great so I thought if I was able to leave some worms in his cage for a few hours maybe he would be more apt to eat them....hahaha funny thought.

So I put about 20 worms in this bowl, I know he wouold never eat that many but I wanted alot of movement in the dish and boy did he watch them, I watched him watch them for about 10 mins or so and he still wasn't eating but he kept a close eye on them. Then all of a sudden he ran and hid under his log, he's been sleeping ALOT and I just kinda thought to myself "well huh, guess the worms didn't do it"

I put my youngest son in the tub and when I came back out into the living room Moose was blackbearding and pacing the front of his enclosure, obviously something was wrong, crazy me thought he wanted some cuddle time, LOL so I took him out but he just squirmed and kept looking at his enclosure, finally I had to get supper ready so I put him back in....he was NOT happy

Hubby comes homw and goes "ahhhhh hun your worm dish isn't working out so well, a worm just climbed out" I rush in and notice like 3 worms left in the bowl :shock:

I took Moose out and started lifting everything, there was superworms EVERYWHERE....haha poor Moose didn't wanna come out to see me at all he was just trying to get away from all the crazies invading his home, LOL

$15.00 I'll never get back, LOL

Hi Brandy, Moose is one cute beardie & that was one funny super worm story. Guess you'll be faster to check his viv in the future. I just found your thread again, got unsubscribed from alot of threads, so glad I found you again. He's so big, so fast! I hope he starts eating for you again, is it spring at your end of Canada yet? We're close to Vancouver, still getting icky weather but much warmer than in March. Our dragons don't like bad weather either, so their days up are short at this time of year. Hopefully Moose will get his appetite back soon. Tell him my gang all say Hi Moose, eat already!

Deb, yup we're getting Spring weather now, the snow is *almost* all gone, still in the woods but that's about it...it's been raining the last 2 days Can't wait for it to be sunny and hot!

I am happy to say Moose is awake about 75% of the time and I have been getting him to eat 2-4 roaches everyday.....still no go on the salad but that will come I'm sure!

Maybe we could have our therapy sessions right here on bd.org. Just maybe Gina wants to head it up. Hell, she must know something we don't know. Could feeding cheerios be the way to go?! :shock:
