Hello! The above photo is a month of betadine solution. Ive seen many posts and pictures but cant tell if this is progressive tail rot or it healing? Part of me wants to say that white nub is calus forming as a new end of her tail and the tail rot is about to fall off, the rest of me wants to say its progressing and i should have it chopped soon as i can. Any and all insight is greatly appreciated, pics below are from a month ago

Hello,

You can apply the honey at night, when she is going to bed. Just be sure that there aren't
any insects in her tank that would be attracted to it.
The betadine can be diluted down until it looks like very weak tea so go ahead & use more
water to dilute it down.

Oh yeah, not a single bug enters her tank and she refuses to sleep anywhere that isnt ontop of me. Ill be sure to get some of that honey. Thank you so much Tracie

Apologies in the delay of a follow up, shes been shedding and just now stopped shedding by her tail. At first i was thinking that little bulb would be the new part of the end of her tail and the dead part would break off but it doesnt seem likely at this point. will be taking her to get it snipped as soon as i can. Thanks all for the inputs

Hello,

Oh I agree also, it does need to be snipped off. The surgery wont be bad at all, & luckily it hasn't
progressed too much. Let us know how that goes!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
