UVB Lighting: On a screen vs. in the tank

Would it be better if I mounted my light in the cage? I have a 36 in Reptisun with it's hood. Should I return the hood and just mount it inside my enclosure.

Do the math.

The hood redirects rays from top and sides of bulb downward.

The Zoomed testing with the lab tester solar something (can't think of name at moment) shows a reptile screen cover filters approx. 30% of rays.

To me, the redirction of rays is greater than the filter. Many will disagree. I just feel the testing reports using lab equipment should be weighted stronger than uvb meter experiments.
