Reptisun tube vs Reptisun Compact

Ok, so I know everyone hates the ReptiGlo tube and compacts, and rave about the reptisun tubes. What about the reptisun compacts?

We don't recommend any of the compact bulbs. They aren't nearly as reliable as the tube bulbs are, some have been known to cause eye problems, and many have a high burn in rate so that they stop producing sufficient UVB for your dragon after a short time. Without a UVB monitor to measure the UVB being put out, I wouldn't risk it. Better to stick with the tried and true bulbs - either a MVB or a UVB flourescent tube bulb.
