My new Bearded Dragon

I'm thinking about calling him Bruce, but it's still up in the air. He's got so much personality and already chomps at some greens. I hope he keeps his fabulous color as he grows.

I had him out today and decided to put him on Mt. Knee (haha) while I surfed the web. He thought that this was an excellent place to nap.

he's gorgeous, did he fall asleep on your knee? i took spike out of his cage last night after we put him to bed and he fell asleep on my chest, it melted my heart! when I put him back in, he acted like he didn't want to be put down. how long do you keep your little guy out? did you name him Bruce?

Aww, spike seems like such a sweetheart! It's always nice to know that they do prefer the company of people to their own viv, sometimes. Yeah, my little guy did fall asleep on my knee! When I finally put him away, my leg had fallen asleep from staying still so long, haha. I try to take him out often but not for so long that going back is a treat, if that makes sense. I want him to associate me with happy times!

I bought some raspberries yesterday and put two in his enclosure this morning because I kept reading how much beardies like that particular berry. I got home around three, where I fed him some crickets but noticed that he hadn't touched the raspberries. Sooo, I picked up one of them and broke of a little juice-pod and rubbed it on his face. He licked the juice and then immediately clamped on my finger where I was holding the berry. I mean, sheesh! I laughed because I know he didn't mean to bite me, but I had never seen a reptile so excited about anything ever!

As for the name, I think it's going to officially be Bruce. I've been calling him, "lil britches", but he's not going to stay little for long, so I guess it's a short-term thing. Any suggestions?

I like Bruce, but I might be a little bias since my son's name is Bryce (I know they aren't the same but close).

Were the raspberries you bought just fresh normal raspberries from the grocery store? I didn't know they liked them, I will have to get Spike some.

The raspberries were just the plain ol' kind that came in one of those clear plastic berry containers. I ate a lot of them myself, lol. Bryce is a handsome name; is your son named after somebody or did you pick it yourself?
