Discolored tail

Hi. I have a 3 month old beardie and this is our first. We noticed the color on his tail is washed out campared to the rest of his body. does anyone know what causes this?

Sounds like a shed coming on. Does it look dull?

Yes it does, from reading I thought that what it might be but a little nervous when something is out of the ordinary.
