    Batman, Flash, Vraska and family!

We're back...I'm so sorry if I worried anyone. Batman is finally eating in his own every day now but boy was it a long journey! He only started eating on his own again about a month ago. Flash and Vraska are still amazing as always! Keegan turned 5 on Tuesday and will be starting...

    Yes, poop. Suggestions?

Not sure if this belongs in Health and I'm usually one to PM or text for advice but I'd like to get some feedback on a few things. I ordered the mail in fecal exam kit mostly just because it's time to get it done. Well I received it 2 days ago and both days Batman (4.5 months old, good health)...

    True Fire Skink (Temps/Basking/Heat Pad)

I read the other posts about TFS' that Zandi202 posted and well...I'm a slow learner, apparently. Liz helped me get my son a True Fire Skink yesterday (love her dearly for that) but I am just really confusing myself on "basking" temps, spots...I don't know anymore. There is an overhead light...

    What is this?

My sister in law sent me this picture and text that read: "my friend's bearded dragon" but it doesn't look like one I've ever seen. Do different bearded dragons look like this? If it isn't a bearded dragon, what is it? Or if it is, what kind of bearded dragon is it? Just curious...

    Waxworms question, again.

I know they're just for a treat. My beardie has been a little sick lately and not eating. I got great info from a couple of mods here and am following all instructions to help him out. It will be another day before I can be sure of much. My (maybe silly) question is...do waxworms bite? I know...

Applying cocoa butter at night/basking in morning?

I've read that I can apply the 100% cocoa butter for a horrible shed and it works wonders. I've also read to do it at "lights out" to prevent burns. When lights do go on in the morning is basking ok by that time? Or does it have to be washed off first? Sorry if this sounds like a ridiculous...

When to have a fecal done?

I'm just wondering in general, really. We haven't had any issues. Batman is 11 weeks old and we have had him for 9 of those weeks. Is it advised to have a fecal done at some point just to be positive of his health even without any cause for concern? If so, should it be at a certain age?

    Shedding then not shedding?

My baby has gone through so many sheds in the last 10 weeks. He is usually fine with it and there's no difference in his appetite or behavior. This time...very different. He's just over 10 weeks and he's 11 inches. His tail was really WHITE for about 10 days but nothing started to peel or come...

    Calcium/feeders

If Batman (10 weeks old) has dubia roaches for his first feeding and phoenixworms for his next feeding (actual PHOENIXWORMS) should I still dust the first live feeding of his dubia with calcium? Or does that end up being too much calcium for him in a day? I've recently become confused finding...

Re: Batman, Flash, Vraska, family! More faves from Disney!

We brought Batman home when he was just two weeks old and today he is 10 weeks old and 10.5 inches! His tail started to shed again today...I think he's going to be a big guy :) First night home: Keegan (my 3 year old human) and Batman! Just 2 weeks old! He did this a lot at first. A...

    Breathing strange??

Can someone please look at this and let me know if he's ok? I've never seen him breath like this. I can't upload the video to my photo bucket for some reason so I hope this link works: http://youtu.be/cpWgM51NV-E

    Acting crazy?!

Hi there everyone! Batman is 9 weeks old today and has been acting REALLY strange over the last couple of days. I had to remove his tall "tree" because he has started LEAPING from it to...well...anything at all. I'm not sure what is going on. He's always been active, his appetite is totally...

    Last resort for heat?

My cousin bought a baby beardie at a pet store and was given horrendous information. I sent all the info I've acquired from you guys and the care sheet along with the nutrition sheet. They aren't sure of their nighttime temps yet but fear it will fall below 60 degrees. Not sure of baby's age but...

5 weeks today. When can he come out?

Our baby beardie is 5 weeks today. He only comes out for his bath and is handled usually inside of his enclosure and only by my husband. At what age would it be appropriate to start handling him more and/or allowing him to come out of his home? I promise I searched first but info on beardies...

    Bathing and fruit

Hi! Wasn't sure where this topic should be posted but I feel like keeping multiple questions to one post sort of keeps the clutter down. Batman! will be 5 weeks Thursday and I've pretty much got his bathing down. Using a large Tupperware bowl with a face cloth on the bottom (thanks to your...

    Humidity and water bowls?

Ok...in need of some clarification here: Cool side of tank is 82 degrees and 32% humidity. Basking spot is about 99-105 degrees depending on how high he feels like climbing, and humidity is 23%. I have a water dish in his tank, he is 4 weeks old. With all lights out over night temps fall between...

Please help! New enclosure. Trying to remove mirror manually

I have a 20 gallon to move my 4 week old beardie Batman into. We would really like to use this one as we will have to purchase a larger one in the near future. The problem is: it has a mirror on one of the inside walls which I know is NOT ok. The actual mirror is applied to the outside of the...

    Sleeping up against the glass?

Hi! I'm new here and I have 3 1/2 week old beardie. I know he's very young and shouldn't have been sent home with us so soon. It was a situation where the owner just couldn't keep him. Anyway, his name is Batman (my children named him/her) and I've gone over every check list following every...
