    Beardie eggs...help!

If you got the beardies from the same place, at the same time, they are more than likely related. These eggs, although fertile, should be disposed of. You can place them in the freezer for a few hours and that will stop the growth. This is entirely humane, since right now, there is nothing...

Do you cut your beardie's nails?

Check out this diagram. You don't want to cut into their live tissue or they will bleed and it will cause them pain. Just the tip is good enough. Also, switching your substrate to natural slate tile will help keep their nails filed down naturally.

bearded dragons don't need a hide?

A bearded dragon should always have a hide available to them. If they want to hide for the day, that should be their choice. Brumation is perfectly natural, and they should be allowed to do it if they so desire.

My leather backs produced a normal baby?

A leatherback x leatherback cross will produce about 25% normals, 50% leatherbacks, and 25% silkbacks. Leatherback is the incomplete dominant heterozygote form of the silkback. If you're going to breed, I suggest you learn a bit more about genetics and learn how to do a Punnett Square. It...

Do you believe Beardies get emotionally attached?

Agreed with all of the above. Scientifically speaking, they're just not capable of feeling emotions or developing relationships very well. To them, we are just a giant heating pad that keeps them safe and warm and feeds them. I would say they tolerate us, at best. But it is still fun to...

    Meet Cheif

Hi There! Welcome! I have a Chief too! Yes, beardies can see the infrared light, and need total darkness to sleep well. Unless his temp is dropping below 65 at night, there is no need for supplemental nighttime heat.

    Excitement!!!!!

Exactly! To her credit though, back then the "yellow" dragons were more of a golden brown. Breeders were still trying to breed color into their dragons. So in a way, she was one of the pioneers of the yellow dragon. But I do agree with you.
