Yep, her tail has always been like that. They think one of her brothers or sisters may have done that when she was little. But I love it, I know she will never be as long as she "should", but it matches her silly personality :D

That was pretty cute! Is that mylar you have around the three sides of her viv? If so how does that work out for you?

Thanks! As for her viv, I purchase it off of craigslist (I cleaned it very well before I put her in it) and the installation that is around the 3 sides works really well with keeping the heat in. My room is in the basement so it gets colder in here, and she doesn't seem to notice it. It maybe because this is all she has ever known...but I like it! I have it attached with Velcro so I am able to take it on and off easily if needed.

I ask because my viv is glass with a screen top, it gets pretty cold in there at night and keeping temps steady during the day is a bit awkward. I thought about mylar around 3 sides but worried about hot spots from the lights. Thinking about some of that styrofoam stuff you get in sheets from Home Depot.

Since it is on the outside of the viv it doesn't get from the lights. It really does help with the heat. I have a basking light (75 watts) and she is able to lay in her hammock where it gets up to 95 degrees, and then I have a red light for night and a ceramic light (that just gives off heat and no light) and that turns on an off throughout the day/night. Along with the UVB light during the day. I also have a small heating pad that is under the glass bottom so her reptile carpet is warm in one spot at night. I would recommend using some form of reflexive installation instead of Styrofoam so the light/heat won't burn it. But I haven't been to the store to see what they have out there now, like I said I purchased the viv with it on it. But good luck with your desison! :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
