scratching and butting the glass

right now my charlie is going crazy in his tank. scratching and butting his head against the glass

:lol: i know that one right there first hand mine be doing the exact thing that your talking about i had my beardie for 1 year and he still does that they do that because they want to get out of the tank the same with us you dont wanna be stuck in the house all the time you wanna get out and explore or go somewhere its the samething with them trust me my beardie does it almost every day cuz he wants to get out and walk he wakes me up every morning cuz as soon as i get up i hear him scratching against the glass and digging tryna get out :roll: mostly all beardies do that just take him out for a while just watch after him so he dont get caught in somewhere he shouldnt be

everytime i get charlie out he bites hard. whenever a friend of the family gets him out charlie bites him hard to make him bleed. my dad found charlie in st.charles missouri i think near a bank or mcdonalds

yea just give him some alone time thats all and slowly reach your hand in the tank in then scoop him up that will let him know your not tryna hurt him just keep practicing that method and he wont see you as a threat anymore also im guessing that you just got him so let him get use to his environment and you and the biting should stop cuz see he probably was neglected by someone and he is not use to being picked up by people so just give him some alone time

oh ok but yea like i said give him some alone time and gradually work your way towards him see all bearded dragons have their own personailty some get angry some are nice like mine i had him since he was a baby and never had a problem with him biting me i had him for a year now he's 17 inches when i first got him he was 7 inches so its kind of hard training a older bearded dragon thats why its best to get them while they are young so they can get use to you better by raising them i mean thats just my opinion but slowy move your hand towards him and pet him even if he still backs away if he still wants to bite you then leave him alone for a while then try again

nice beardy! how long is he? but yea he is just scared thats all like i said before give some alone time for a while then try again each day keep doing until he feels that your not a threat to him you have to bond with him or else he will never get use to you if he still backs up when you try to pet him still do it anyway cuz then he will get use to your hand and your scent just like dogs

he has had the attitude since my dad brought him home. but i think charlie has his moments

oh ok yea that could be his personality but you can still tame him to be comfortable around you and other people though just give it try what i told you to do and see what happens

we have an old lamp that we cliped his lights to and it is getting really wobbly and charlie is on the side of the lamp so i have to wait when he goes to the other side of his tank
