She finally laid her eggs.I wasn't able to get her to the vet the other day, I woke up with a *nasty* tooth infection and have been in bed the last few days but I woke up this morning to 23 eggs in her tank and a much skinnier Dreki.Hello,
I certainly hope she lays soon. It has been awhile but at least she doesn't seem stressed right now. Let us know what the vet says!
That is a tough situation of living there, I hope things get better for you both.

Thats good newsShe finally laid her eggs.I wasn't able to get her to the vet the other day, I woke up with a *nasty* tooth infection and have been in bed the last few days but I woke up this morning to 23 eggs in her tank and a much skinnier Dreki.
I wanted to wait, but I get so damn paranoid that something will happen just because I know they can go downhill so fast.Thats good news
In my honest opinion it's alwats better if they can do things naturally.
Thankfully, we do have a caregiver that comes for 40 hours a week and it does help. Unfortunately, we believe it's time he gets more professional care. He managed to rip out a Foley catheter while restrained and has been very belligerent and accusing staff members of murder and SA and my boyfriend doesn't want himself, me, his mom or my young girls to be exposed to that level of abuse.Wow, I never got any of these notifications for the past few days but it's good to hear this ! I suspected she's lay them soon as well, and now you have this experience that deviated from her normal laying experience to soothe your worries the next time she takes so long. And yes, the amount can fluctuate with every clutch.
Also wanted to say I'm sorry about your b.f's parents, that situation is hard on everyone and can be a struggle to deal with. I wish you all the best, be sure to reach out for any resources available to help with that. Some states will pay a relative to care for a parent with dementia/Alzheimer's.
What's the weirdest is when she starts her whole egg process, she stops eating. But so does Nubby. And once she lays her eggs, he will start eating again.Yeah that's so tough. That level of dementia + delusion is so sad and grievous to everyone involved. You all have to care for yourselves as well. I'm glad that Dreki came through her ordeal and that's a big relief for you !
I absolutely believe they bond. When Chomp passed Zen nearly grieved himself to death, (they were clutch mates). He refused food for weeks. When Sweet Pea passed Ruby did the same. Ruby and Sweet Pea always sought each other out when tbey were out. What's the weirdest is when she starts her whole egg process, she stops eating. But so does Nubby. I swear, he might want to mate with her, but I think they're bonded. We thought they were when we first got them because they were constantly wrapped around each other.
Oh man that's so sad. I remember hearing about Zen passing but when did Sweet Pea pass.??I absolutely believe they bond. Thank youOh man that's so sad. I remember hearing about Zen passing but when did Sweet Pea pass.??
I'm dreading it happening with ours. I'm so damn attached to these little lizards, even thinking about it breaks my heart. I'm sorry you lost your scale babies.
Holy ****. Holy **** I am so sorry, that's horrifying. I am so so sorry you're going through all of this. I can't imagine how much you're hurting. I get paranoid about nova, her hide has a small hole that she doesn't fit in anymore and the last time she tried, she got stuck. Thankfully I was here to get her out but damn...Thank you
We lost Sweet Pea to liver disease towards the end of march. We lost Snickers the first of April. We came home and found that she had wedged herself between some decor and the tank. She couldn't breathe. I haven't posted about Snickers yet, it's still to painful, I've lost 3 since January thats more than I've lost in the 10 years I've been keeping them in just 4 months.

Hugs from us and our scale babies.
I get the same way, even if I'm just leaving for a little while. Since I'm in a hotel, I have a camera in my room where I can see my scale babiesThank you
I would get rid of that hide, I'm rethinking everything now, I'm like you I get paranoid over just about everything. A piece of decor in my new babies habitat had a small hole.... notice I say had Ruby is special needs so I've taken out anything that can flip her over or get her stuck. I've rearranged Sinatra's so there's nothing he can get stuck in. .... see just a lil paranoid
