Oh I see, I forgot about your other thread.
Well, it would work I suppose. Even with the
uvb bulb though there will be a lot of the light spectrum missing. Believe it or not but the incandescents actually do a good job of filling in missing spectra that the
uvb bulb is lacking. This combo helps get closer to the spectra of sunlight. However I suppose if your classroom has some natural light coming in, it would be ok on a temporary basis.
Were you thinking you weren't going to build your own wooden enclosure? That would solve the lamps being accessible to the kids.
