Hello.

My beardie, who is about five months old, is not pooping on a daily basis. He goes sometimes two-three days before going. Sometimes I put him/her in the tub to stimulate pooping (works every time), but I am wondering-is this normal?????

dragons do tend to "learn/adjust" their pooping schedules to when they are going to be in the bath. Some dragons just prefer to poop in the tub and will hold it as long as possible until in a soak. You should soak your dragon 1-3 times a week anyway so it should give him plenty of chances to go. You have to realize that as they get older their system slows down a bit. When they are young they go 1-2 times a day every day then it slows as they get older. Juvis tend to poop every other day to every couple of days. Some adults go 2-3 weeks between poops. Unless his urate is very large and disscolored when it comes out or if he appears to have problems going i would say you have a healthy dragon. If you are really worried about possible impaction you can give some raw apple or all natural apple sauce as this is a natural laxative and will deffinately "lube" thinks up in there.

Hey, I was just wondering if after a feeding if a 1-2 month beardie should appear visibly more plump. My male makes a weird throat expanding motion as well. Might it just be he ate a bit too much?
