my set up, is anything wrong and should be changed

also today he has only eaten 2 crickets, is that normal, ive moved his tank around twice today, changing substrate and then adding the rock formation i made

i just fed him another 2 crickets and i noticed that he was walking on his wrist , so this is not good, hes so young i dust everything with the calcium powder and he has his UV light. what did i do wrong he couldent have (Metabolic Bone Disease already could he

What and where is your uvb light? I see two domes, but the basking spot is much too close for an MVB....
Make sure your beardie can get UVB. Lose the stick on temp guage, get a digital with a probe. Small changes help to uncover other problems. If temp is too low, your beardie may not be digesting food properly. Need to know the UVB status as well.....

the light on the right is the UV and it is a 13w repti glo 10.0 uvb

Ok the compact bulbs are not good for beardies, and the reptiGLO name is a bit shady at best. You need a reptiSUN 10 TUBE to span the length of the tank. you also need to put it in the tank, 6-8" from his basking spot.


Beside that, its looking ok, a bit small so you will need a new one in a month or so, what size is it??

As stated above, the coils can cause problems for the beardie while they don't provide efficient uvb rays. You can go to walmart or home depot for a blacklight bulb and fixture. Replace the bulb with an 18" reptisun bulb. This fixture has holes for mounting on the back. I used (plastic with metal hooks) 3M hooks that mount to the glass. Works well, or you can use a wire and secure it to the screen top. You need the digital temp probe as well. The best priced one out there can be found at walmart or lowes in the garden or out door section. Acurite has a probe and three display readout.

i got a digital thermometer today, his basking spot sits at about 99-105 with a 100 watt bulb currently

and the strip uvb light i have to wait to get till friday, is this bad, or will he be ok till then

It would probably be better if you took out the coil uvb. If you can, order it from here: http://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-fluorescent-bulbs/504983/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-bulb.html

It will cost you about $20 plus shipping. Most local petstores that I've checked out don't even carry that bulb. I suggest you don't get any fluorescent uvb except that one.

I agree. I know that the two small mom and pop shops near me has better prices on the bulb, but most major stores don't carry the REPTISUN. Do look at getting the fixture at Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes. The fixtures sold in pet stores are overpriced. Save yourself the money and get an under cabinet fixture to fit the T8 bulb at the length you are looking to purchase.....
Your beardie will be fine without the light until you purchase the correct bulb. More than likely the coil bulb isn't even helping him anyways....
I also agree with Petmountain having the best prices online for the bulb!
