My Precioussses

I debated whether this belonged in the introduction's forum or this one but because we lost these two more than 4 years ago I decided it should probably be here as they aren't new beardies, just new to you all as I've never really shared them with you. These first two, Miss O (for orange) and Miss Y (for yellow) were best friends. I didn't realize until almost 2 or so years after we lost them that this is very unusual. You would have had to see them together to understand that they were talking to each other, usually a lot and every day.

I will share some pics of them with you

Bill found Miss O hiding in this box inside of our living room and had to take a picture of her. Since the camera we were using at that time was a film camera, he took her and the box outside on our steps, which is probably why she looks a little annoyed.

Miss O liked to hide this way a lot, with her loving look. She knew we loved her and that was very important to her.

We submitted this pic for the bd.org calendar some years ago. This is one we took that I never noticed until we sent this in for the calendar that they were talking to each other. In this one, Miss Y was saying "I don't feel good" and Miss O was saying "I know, and I'm sorry" Miss O was like that, she had to comfort. She needed someone to love her and to be loved, and comfort when she knew we needed it.

I had better submit this before I delete what I've done, again.

Here's a pic I though you all might enjoy. Goldie sitting in the middle of one of our Aloe Vera plants, we have soo much of the stuff, if you want some, just come by our house (let us know first, of course) and you can dig it out of the ground and (please take the roots, first, of course) and then you can put it in a pot with soil and keep plants yourself.

Yes, Barb, they are and I really enjoy them. My mother has decided that Goldie is the prettiest beardie we've ever had, and she's not really a reptile lover.

It's been a while since I've updated this thread. Yesterday afternoon we were putting some Christmas lights on a couple of the pine trees we planted last spring. I put Goldie in one of the trees and decided to take a couple of pics with her in there. Last year after Christmas we purchased a couple of Christmas hats with a cat toy inside. We took the cat toy out of it and use it for pics with our girls. The hats are a little large for their heads as you will see when I get the pics loaded.

Thanks for looking! We only have 2, Goldie and Rosie, the last two. I would love to have one of Barbara's babies but Bill (who does the majority of the beardie care) can't handle another one. I love that pic. Is that Poodle in the pic yours? When I was in High school, we had a poodle, but as a puppy, he was black and silver as a dog. He was fun and when he'd run off, we knew just where he went, to the corner house on our street, which had another poodle. He'd go no other place.

Do you have a thread for Rosie and Goldie? I know how your husband feels about having three beardies, who would ever have thought I'd have 7, but I can honestly say, and it's not more work if you have a system. I don't like to clean vivs, so all mine are potty trained, and very very occasionally they'll have an accident. And of course being adults, they don't require the hundreds of crickets that babies do........but I completely understand your husband.

Yes, that's my poodle, he'll be 14 Feb. 1st, but still acts like a baby, I got him on the 1st anniversay death of my husband, he's my love now........I'll be explaining how I was able to take the pic on my thread below later, I've got to run and shop before the crowds, thanks again.

Goldie and Rosie are on this thread, also. I titled it "My Precioussses" because they are. I was reading 'The Lord of the Rings' again and that title came up when I remembered what Gollum called the "one ring". It seemed to fit for me.

I haven't seen anything like that, either Livey, until Goldie's colors developed like they are there. Those only seem to show up when she's warm and/or been in the sun a lot.

Billy had orange marks all over his belly, and when he was super happy he would get lavender side bars,
he was the most beautiful dragon i had ever met :|

I remember Billy from when Holly first got him. I don't recall seeing those colors in the pics, I would have loved to see them.
