My Precioussses

I debated whether this belonged in the introduction's forum or this one but because we lost these two more than 4 years ago I decided it should probably be here as they aren't new beardies, just new to you all as I've never really shared them with you. These first two, Miss O (for orange) and Miss Y (for yellow) were best friends. I didn't realize until almost 2 or so years after we lost them that this is very unusual. You would have had to see them together to understand that they were talking to each other, usually a lot and every day.

I will share some pics of them with you

Bill found Miss O hiding in this box inside of our living room and had to take a picture of her. Since the camera we were using at that time was a film camera, he took her and the box outside on our steps, which is probably why she looks a little annoyed.

Miss O liked to hide this way a lot, with her loving look. She knew we loved her and that was very important to her.

We submitted this pic for the bd.org calendar some years ago. This is one we took that I never noticed until we sent this in for the calendar that they were talking to each other. In this one, Miss Y was saying "I don't feel good" and Miss O was saying "I know, and I'm sorry" Miss O was like that, she had to comfort. She needed someone to love her and to be loved, and comfort when she knew we needed it.

I had better submit this before I delete what I've done, again.

I've been cuddling Goldie when I got home from work all week. Goldie has been getting really spoiled, used to being the only dragon on us as she's the only one getting up daily. Rosie woke up today before we went to my Aunt's house for Christmas dinner. We soaked them both when we got home, just after 4pm. I got Rosie out of the water before Goldie and Goldie gave me a look that said "you took her out before me? I laughed but put her in her tank (to dry off and warm up) after I put Rosie. They prefer to be on me (or my husband) than in their vivs.

I don't know how many of you have heard of a legless lizard. I hadn't until a couple of weeks ago. My husband took a couple of pics of the one a lady brought to our house to show us. She also has some blue tongued skinks.

Here's the pics Bill took of it.

It is very cute. She showed us the difference between it and a snake. One of the differences is it has a line of sorts down both sides of it's body, but not on it's tail. The other one is that when it is on the floor, it tries to move but doesn't move as gracefully as a snake does.

Awwwwwwwwwww, It's nice to be spoilied, go Goldie............Don't they just love to cuddle with mom or dad.......bah humbug, the viv.
I never heard of a legless lizard, I have of skinks though, saw them when I worked at the reptile rescue, I have to be honest, they didn't feel like cuddle bugs to me.

It's a very interesting lizard. I actually held it longer than I've ever held a snake (never). I don't think I'd want one as I prefer beardies, I know how to take care of them.

I do miss Rosie, tho. She got up this am and when back into her hide box after about 2 or 2.5 hours.

I'm in a bit of a shock. I actually found unsweetened soy yogurt, in AZ!! of all places. I've looked in Tucson in Trader Joes, they have soy yogurt but the 2nd or 3rd ingredient is cane sugar of some kind. I decided to look and see in Sunflower Market (corner of Speedway and Swan in Tucson, AZ) they have a brand called Wildwood Probiotic Soyogurt. It clearly says unsweetened on the front and top labels. My husband can't eat dairy or sugar, so for him regular yogurt is out of the question. I can use this stuff for him and our girls.

As we were putting christmas lights on our pine trees planted outside I put Goldie and Rosie on the tree (separately) with a santa hat on their head. Goldie gave me a look that said "I put up with a lot from you guys". I laughed and took the pics anyway.

Goldie has such pretty colours! You're lucky to have such great girls like you do and they all seem so loved, spoiled, and happy.

Yes, they are spoiled. You should have seen the look Goldie gave me yesterday when she realized she was in our bed sleeping and Rosie was on my shoulder. I had put her there because she kept climbing off me to go find a place to hide and sleep.

Aha, that sounds so cute! I'll sit with Scout in my bed every now adn then and normally he goes and finds a blanket or stuffed animal to cuddle with instead of me. He rather explore than sleep with me. XD Maybe he'll be more cuddly when he's older.....
