Baby Dinosaur

Okay, you can tell that I am excited about being back but don't worry, I am logging off after all of the spam.

I was speaking with my mother today about Rocky and being afraid of him when I got him.
My mother actually assisted me when Rocky came home but shared with me that she was terrified. She said, "I pretended I was okay but all I could see was a baby dinosaur! I mean, I wondered how big he would get- I was terrified!"
I thought that was the cutest story.
Oh how far we've come!

PS. My parents love Rocky because they thought I was just "talking" about Ruby until they experienced the devil himself, LOL
Ruby is a soft pillow but he's a terror. I still love him - hug him daily but all he wants is food and to be left alone!

One day I had a thought of letting him sleep with me but I was for sure I wouldn't wake up alive.
He will lay next to me but ummmm no thanks!

LOL that's funny. When Rocky's tail moves across my neck when the crawls over me...it still creeps me out just a little (but it's Rocky so I am okay LOL).

Right, that is what I said to her- I had no clue!!!
I remember the first morning, I was like, "Mom he wont wake up, is he dead? Please go in the room and check"- she didn't hesitate.

You can try having Ruby sleep on your shoulder, covered with a fleece blanket. And after an hour, when Ruby is fast asleep, carefully transfer him to the terrarium. This will bring you very close. After this, I am sure that Ruby will change his attitude towards you, he will treat you as something very reliable, someone he can hide in or who he can trust during sleep.

You taught me something new...after they fall asleep to put them back. I used let Rocky sleep there all night in the cat bed. No wonder why he's spoiled.

But you're on to something. I can use the sweater Ruby stole from me and try. I just fed him and I swear he hates me more today. He didn't hiss but not only does he make me hold the bowl, he darts his eyes then he rolls them. His eyes are red, full of hate but he blinks and try turn to love deeeeep inside . We're on the way lol

What finally made Puff like me was a car ride. We were stppped at a red light and Christina stuck her on the bash for a minute. There was a tractor trailer beside us. The air brakes purged (it's an automatic valve the pops open under air pressure to purge water from the air lines) it makes a pretty good pop and hiss. It scared the bejebbers outta Puff. She dove off the dash right onto my chest and I covered her face and hid her from the mean ole truck. She was fine with me from then on.
It will probably be the same for Ruby, something will scare him and he'll come hauling butt to mommy for protection

I would like to add. As far as I understand, this advice does not mean that you need to scare beardies in order to get closer to them.

You know me too well. I was going to drive with him in my handsome outside the window. Disclaimer to those that don't know me....I'm joking. I love my Rocky, oh and Ruby too
