Moving across country with a Beardie

I am moving from California to Texas which will be a two day drive, and I was wondering what is the best and simplest way to move with our beardie Spike.

I'm not sure how you would want to house the beardie during the move, but I do know that you should not keep them on the floor of the vehicle during the move, as the floor often gets very hot and ends up cooking the animal. Try to keep it's container on a seat

Hi,

I moved from California to Pennsylvania in February with Grendel. During the actual drives, I had her in a soft-sided carrier with a blanket in it, between the two front seats, though she spent some time in my lap (when I was the passenger) looking out the window. We made sure to stop early in the evenings. We'd set up a small tank (20 gal) in the motel rooms, complete with uvb, basking light, and che after lights out. We'd feed her and bathe her so she'd poop, and let her bask for a few hours to warm up. We took reptiworms, so they didn't need to be refrigerated, and the greens were fine for those few days.

I just moved 1200 miles. My 4 BDs traveled in my 90 Gal enclosure, partitioned off to separate them, in the back seat of my car. Weather was warm enough, I didn't provide added heat other than a ceramic heat emitter at night, but did provide UVB plugged into a power inverter. Mine are adults, so I provided greens & one feeding of Crix during the three days we were traveling. All endured the trip very well.

When we moved from AZ to Texas we put Spazzes pillow on the dash board of the U-haul and she rode there all day, but she was raised riding on the dash of my car and is used to stupid human tricks.
Just use a cooler to get them in your room at the motel.
When we would stop to eat we would park so we could see the truck and watch the people jump when she would move on the dash. LOL
For lunch we would pick up subs stop at a rest area and put her in the wire cage in the sun I made for her.
