I'm so confused :banghead: can someone please tell me what each does, which ones are mandatory, nice to have or serves the same purpose. UVA, UVB, basking light, heat emitter, regular household light bulb. Thanks!

You will need a basking light that provides heat: either a normal household bulb or a specialist reptile bulb- i use a 100w bulb in my 4ft viv and it gives good temps

UVB is essential- you will need a UVB tube (not a coil or compact)- reptisun 10 tube is best- these should be replaced every 6 months

Ceramic heat emitter- gives out heat, no light- good to up temp or for use at night if cage drops below 65F

I have a UVB tube that my beardie can get within 6 inches on- it fits 3/4 the length of the viv. I have a basking light positioned on the right to provide heat and a ceramic heat emitter (middle) linked to a thermostat for night time, which i rarely need to use. Hope this helps a bit- here's a photo of my viv with the lighting

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
