Lighting and Heating question

Newbie Question: If I’m using two Reptisun 10.0 bulbs plus a Basting Bulb can I replace the Basting bulb with a Heat Emitting bulb so the enclosure is not so bright and still get the same results.

No please do not replace the basking bulb --- you need a white bright light for basking w/ temps 90-105-- for adults --- I guess I need to ask why your using two Reptisun 10.0 bulbs unless you have them running the entire tank-- the heat emitter is for keeping tank temps up during the nite / day if you live in a really cold climate--- I have one on my tank that is on for winter months 24/7 and completely off during summer-- but you do need that bright white basking bulb

I have a 4x2x2 enclosure and I use Two 24” 10.0 bulbs to cover the length of the enclosure instead of using a 48” single bulb because of the inside dimensions. The Basting build hangs a little low casting the bright light into the room it’s just a distraction,maybe I can make a shield of some sort to block some of the light from blinding outside the enclosure?

Yep I see it and it is pretty bright-- have you tried lowering the wattage? The tank is beautiful
What kind of basking light is it?

Not sure what bulb it is I just got the bearded and it came with it.
I just added a dimmer that I had laying around that should help with regulation of the brightness and heat. I need to add a thermostat that’s my next step that should help a lot. Thanks for the compliment on the enclosure I built it myself,the beardie seems to like it.
