is this normal?

Clayton today looked like his back legs were paralized ...he used his front legs only and draged his back end .....then was ok .....then later tonight did it again for a bit???? Normal?

When is the last time he went poo? Is he about to shed..sometimes mine did that when her tummy was about to shed. What insects have you fed him?

Yesterday. He had good poops. He hasn't shed yet ....I have had him 2 months...so maybe he is 4 or 5 months.... also. His one eye stays shut looks abit swollen ......he eats crickets, small....and collars greens.

What type and brand of uvb light do you have?
What substrate is he on?
You can wash his eye out with saline solution and put a warm wash cloth on it.

He is on tile ... Reptisun 10.0 long . ...i will try eye drops ty so much

Do you dust his food with calcium and vitamins? If his eye doesn't start looking better I would take him to a vet.

Dragons up to a year old should get calcium 1 feeding a day for 5 days and vitamins 1 feeding a day for 2 days. Its really easy if you dust his insects with the calcium weekdays and the weekends use the vitamins. How is his eye looking? Poor thing, can you post a picture of it??

yes I will post a pic... now he hasnt been eating...I will get vit. maybe i should force feed him today ? not sure how i could even do that ?? he was very black this am and puffed his beard.... now his color is ok but he doesnt move hardly at all all day ! I will go take pic now.... ty for your help....

Looks like you have more than one thread going about the same thing which makes it quite difficult for us to know what has or hasn't been discussed. As I mentioned on your other thread, he doesn't look good. Please respond to the questions I posted here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=171494

No, it's not good that he hasn't shed in months. He needs to have a fecal checked for parasites and should actually be assessed by a vet as it looks like he is going downhill fast.

That's good that you're contacting the vet, hopefully they can see him today or tomorrow. Please let us know how you make out and in the meantime, be sure to keep him very well hydrated.

Were you able to get an accurate thermometer to find out what the true temp readings are?

clayton has vet at 4;00 today . I will update when we get home. Hope this fixes all his trouble :roll:
