How can my dragon have pinworms when he was just treated for coccidia ? His recheck showed no coccidia but pinworms. The only thing he has ate for the past 3 weeks is babyfood. I'm just really curious.

Pinworms most likely caused the coccidia issue. Parasites don't show up in every fecal.

What dewormer did you use? Some do pinworms and coccidia together, however, depending on the numbers of each, sometimes the first few doses don't get them all. You may have to repeat treatment in 2 weeks to ensure he is parasite free.

thanx ladies,
I was really upset when i called and they now tell me he has pinworms.They use to test in office now they send it out and i thought maybe that could have something to do with it.The pinworm meds arent as bad as the sulfa, so he should do fine on it. thanx again..
