So I think that my beardie has mbd, he is not moving his back two legs And when he walks he drags them. Can I fix mbd, is there a way I can get his legs moving again?? Please help!
Is there a blockage in his abdomen perhaps? As far as I know, MBD isn't a thing that just happens overnight, it happens over long periods of time, and it shouldn't develop if you're keeping them in proper lighting. Check if he's been pooping and eating properly, since intestinal blockage can sometimes cause their back legs to stop working. Also, make sure he's hydrated. Dry stools are hard to get out.
Well I got him about a week and a half ago from a friend. He was using a repti basking spot lamp which only contain uva and a red heat bulb. I changed out the red bulb for a ceramic heat lamp and I just got my new reptisun long t5 lamp and hood today, he hasn’t been eating since last Wednesday and everyday I put water on him, the last time he pooped was yesterday
He needs a bright white basking bulb or he will not eat ----------- The T 5 has two options of placement one on top of the tank w/ basking decor 8-10 inches from basking decor or two inside the tank 12-15 inches from basking decor --- the ceramic heat emitter will not get temps to where they need to be 95-110 for a juvie adult dragon and 105-110 for a baby ---- you need a digital probe thermometer to get a actual basking temp---- the T 5 is going to help w/ the MBD but it will not go away -- he may regain the use of his legs w/ proper lighting and calcium --- Tracie or AHBD will haft to help w/ that issue --- but you need to get a bright white basking bulb for him to start eating and digesting his food

Hi,
Can you post a photo of your beardie and your beardies habitat so we can see what might be going on?
I'm glad you got him the T5 but since you only had him for a week and half its very possible that the person you got it from did not supply any UVB so over time the beardie might have MBD.
When you get a bright white basking bulb and temps are 95-110 --- he wont eat till then --- you need this https://assets.petco.com/petco/image/upload/f_auto,q_auto,t_ProductDetail-large/1404628-center-1 wattage is trial and error I would pick up a 100 watt and a 150 watt start there but you MUST have a digital probe thermometer to get a actual temp NO STICK ONS!!! You do not want to burn him up

My tank is kinda plain and dirty sorry about that and should I leave food in there for him? And the person I got him from, when he would feed him he would eat. And on top in the back I have the t5 bulb and I front I have the basking bulb
Maybe one of the reasons he isn't eating is, in addition to his previous husbandry and possible MBD, he's stressed in his new environment and needs a while to adjust.
Since you just got him he will go thru relocation stress --- so it will effect his appetite but he should be eating something --- where did you put the T 5 UVB? And the light on the left side of the tank over the log what wattage is that bulb? Hes not able to climb correct? If not you need to get the UVB inside the tank approx 12-15 inches from the basking decor piece --- you can hang the UVB w/ these
3 M command Velcro fasteners- picture hanging wire –long plastic zip ties - fishing wire
And he needs to be able to get under his basking light --- You need to be feeding salads here is a website for nutrition http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html kale is a good staple feeder --- what are you feeding him ? No food left in there over nite and I would feed him in the morning about 2 hrs after lights on he needs to warm up before being fed - the ceramic heat emitter does not need to be on unless your tank is falling below 65 at nite --- they like cool and dark to sleep

Here a pictures of him and he climbed on top of the little him on the right side of the tank yesterday I saw him do that I was very surprised but I saw him having a little trouble but he ended up getting up there. I can tell he’s getting a thin too and the t5 is 24 watt and the basking is 100 or 150 I think 150 watts and he isn’t eating any salads or anything I’ve tried bok Choi. Mustard greens(his original owner said he really liked those and the most recent thing he ate was 5 super worms last Wednesday
He definitely has mbd, you can tell from his underbite. What is the weather where you are? Is it possible for you to bring him outside and get some real sun?
It’s 81 degrees right now I have been bringing him outside for the past two days. He is currently pooping or trying to and his temp in his tank is 95 degrees f
I answered to questions on the post I posted with him in it the 3 pictures sorry I was editing it realizing I didn’t answer the questions sorry - To Karrie

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
