Gypsy's Thread

this is for my new little beardie girl..which i actually have yet to get,i'm picking her up saturday.I believe she is a year and a beatiful pastel color.Once i get her,i will be posting lots of pictures of my new baby!so...yay!

Thanks Carrie and Christine!i definetely won't forget the pictures but that won't happen til probably around april or a little later...i want it good and hot before i let my little baby outside to swim! i'm gonna start water-bleaching my tub so she can swim there,so she can still poo and soak and swim on a regular schedule. but i am also glad i could help everyone else out with the pools...a lot of people were looking for them online!why are people going towards inflatible when plastic can be so much more durable?? :dontknow: oh and i got some pictures of lil Gypsy sleeping last night.i'll post them on here later today.i need to start carrying a camera around so i can take more pictures and videos.

okay, finally got my lazy butt up and uploaded a bunch more pictures of Gypsy!

first,we got a close up and less close up picture of Gypsy gettin her beauty sleep. that's an old sweater that doesn't fit me she's sleeping in.i tuck her in every night

All those pics of Gypsy are adorable.........I just love her coloring, did you say she was a hypo pastel? You said you had 2 females to choose from, what did the other one look like, and what made you choose Gypsy and was it a private breeder? Just curious,............ don't you just love the sleeping pics, they are so cuddly!!

yeah,she's a pastel,and actually,the coloring was roughly the same...Gypsy had the ten but the other didn't have a number.i decided on Gypsy because well..she was bigger,and it just felt so much more natural having her on me then the other.me and Gyps just seemed to mesh together.Cheryl is a private breeder i think...she's the owner of Rio Reptiles,good site and AWESOME service.

i love the sleeping pictures too..she's so wonderful when she sleeps,i love the nights i can hold her and let her sleep on me while i watch tv,then tuck her into bed...^-^

Yes, I'm familiar with Rio Reptiles, I've always liked their site, so your fortunate that you live close enough to go and visit in person.
I love cuddle time too, I have 3 of my 7 beardies on my now for cuddle time.........then off to bed.

i can agree entirely, Cheryl is a wonderful woman who is extremely friendly,happy,helpful and funny.after this i may email her the link to this thread so she can regularly see how Gypsy is doing.i was really lucky to find her though.i got a wonderful dragon that was well within my price range!

Hey guys,got new pictures of lil Gypsy...or not so little anymore,she's gotten such a belly!


She has a belly.and a worm.

"You will not take mah salad!" i promise i won't baby girl!XD

She sees that worm and she's goin for it!

These are just shots of her head in a shed phase.

i'm glad she finally shed her head.helped her get it all off last night,i'm going to save the skins,put them in a lil baggie and give them to my nextdoor neighbor for her grandson...he loooved Gypsy girl.He was the second kid to ask me if she could breathe fire! :lol: he was determined that she could fly though,especially if we put her on a "flying" placematt.

Awww Gypsy is looking fat and sassy Glad she's doing well and hopefully the squirmy phase will pass soon. Maybe she just wants to run around and explore !

it has passed now i think. it was terrible though, when ever i put her on my bed she LOVES to run up to my pillows,and try to jump onto my headboard.but one day,she tried to climb the curtains behind my bed and fell to the floor behind my bed!i quickly picked her up and put her back in her tank.but that was a week ago...but now,i don't try letting her have her run of the bed. but also,she loves jumping off the left side of my bed..thank god i have carpet.*facepalms*

*laughing* Yea a lot of beardies seem to enjoy leaping and flying... I think if you've ever had one you've had them leap off of something and scare you half to death...most of them seem to do okay with these death defying leaps though. Just the other day I had Stitch on my shoulder and with no warning he LEAPED onto the hard floor... all 4 legs were stuck out to the side so he belly flopped on the floor about 4 feet away from me I think...and then scampered right off. He seems to enjoy the "flying" as he routinely tries to leap off couches instead of taking the "safer" route down my leg, or the pillow ramp...
So in other words don't feel too bad I'm glad Gypsy seems fine though after her tumble... they are good at making us worry

yeah.i'm starting to panic less about the thought of her falling now that i realize how hardy our little critters are.but i still don't want her jumping on a hard floor!
