Yeah, I'm gonna start 2x see where that takes me. All I got is crix because he ate the worms so if he's hungry he'll eat more than 9. I got roaches too but they're babies. I guess he can eat those...they're small. Thanks for the tip. He'll be a year in October, I went to Roseburg and the people that dropped off Broly were there...weird that they were there getting a crested gecko and their son seemed really interested in it. I was looking through pics of Broly and the mom says he looks like the one we had that we dropped off here I say yeah he's mine now the pet shop employee told me so that you dropped him off. She's like well he was hatched October 15 2014. Just saying what she said.

It's nice to know he'll be a year close to the end of the year. But even after that, he has a lot of growing to do till he's 2 years. He's doing really well, he drinks out of a water bowl (it's for humidity, it's been 22%) and eats out of his bowl.
Not a fan of baths and doesn't want to be snuggled up in a towel, I was trying Gina's idea. He just wants to play.

I fed him 15 crix for his breakfast and I'm doing it again for lunch as advised by my friend, Deb, also the godmother of Broly. I may skip a bath today, he pooped and still very hydrated, formed but had a lot of water to it, so it was not an easy pick up . I did a good job with hydration. I took him to the vet for a wellness check, test for adeno and parasites/worms just because I have a good vet to go to. He also wanted to see the new dragon and when he saw him he said now thats what I call a four month old. He didnt weigh because he bit the vet so he didnt like poking and prodding. We all know the bites from babies and juvies don't hurt but my vet didnt wanna stress him out.

Awww, that's great that he did well with the vet, isn't he a little brat to bite him, though. He definitely knows what he likes or not. I'm so glad you like your vet, it's great to have a good exotic vet to see. I like mine, too, she's wonderful and really easy to talk to. She takes my input seriously, too. I'm glad Broly's doing so well. When you give him lunch, try to give him more, just to see what he'll do. I give Ariel as much as she'll eat in a 15 minute time once a day, sometimes twice as she's underweight for her age. Then she can eat as much has she can handle and that works well.

I'm so happy for you that Broly is doing so well. I'm glad he's warming up to you, too, takes some time for that to happen! But when it does, it's so rewarding :love5:

I can't wait till he's fully warmed up to me. I take my time with him though. So before you said give him more I gave him 25 roaches...he's been basking today but he is awake content sitting there at 109. He seems to like it. My vet knows that dragons have a small coccidia amount and won't prescribe meds unless it's over +2 or maybe 1... I forgot already... I know +3 is bad. As for physically looking he looks great he is muscular. Saturday we'll know what the results of the fecal, same for adeno. I highly doubt Adeno but who knows.

Side note: he ate all 25 roaches.. I wanted to know the weight but my vet didnt wanna stress him to the point where his coccidia gets out of control. He's very aware any stress can get them going. Yeah brat bit him but didnt hurt as well as an adult... Vash bit my fingernail clear off once. He's such a bratfor biting but he does know his likes and dislikes.

That's great, he should eat as much as he wants twice a day. The more the better as he's getting into his really big growth period. That's so funny where he hid. Ariel did the same thing, I couldn't find her either for awhile but she was very happy (and cold) staring out the balcony window

Will be looking forward to the vet results on Saturday then. And he's right. The more they're stressed, the more the parasites that they have normally get out of whack. Here's to a great result!

I'm curious how does a dragon get stressed but yet never a high count of coccidia? Like when they're not stressed they can bring the level down when recovering from stress or does the level stay where it is till they stress again? Sometimes I have to pick him up for tank cleaning and he stresses out about it...I really don't want to deal with coccidia or any parasite. So far no bad smell or runny (well for now it's hydration). I never know how it works all we know is stress can get them riled up.

It's prolonged stress that causes the increase, not regular daily stress. For instance a dragon that doesn't have sufficient UVB, basking spot not hot enough, being ignored constantly, not enough food, like that. Yet mine are all well taken care of, like yours & last Sept when I took fecal samples to the vet (I do this every year) 4 out of 5 had pinworms. How they got them is a mystery, too. They get regular baths, sufficient food, good UVB, good temps, etc. But I always get them tested in September, before brumation, to make sure. Only Didi was clear last year. So it's a mystery. At least they didn't have coccocidia. That is so hard to get rid of.

I'm sure Broly is clear, but will be waiting to hear results on Saturday.

Ok thank you for the info I was never sure. I just know how they get em. I'm sure Broly is clear but we'll be waiting anxiously. I didnt do a bath today as he's hydrated already.
Getting one tomorrow though.

I gave him dinner of endive and collards and he ate them all up even with dragon bites on top. He really loves those but not a complete diet so I mix up his food items so often.

Trust me, Broly isn't ignored and the basking is spot on 109 humidity levels are in place between 30-40%. Uvb is good since it's not blocked. He's having a great time in my room and with the tv on he thinks there is multiple people talking LOL.

I do trust you, you take care of him so well! My like the sound of TV, too. Nathaniel will be running to bob Gabriel (when Nathaniel's turn to be out), then he'll be distracted by the TV (Disney Jr cartoons) and run back on to the ramp with his eye on the TV. He likes action shows and shows with music. In between being a brat that is

He watches Pokemon on Cartoon Network. I have to switch a few channels to his liking, Pokemon first thing, then Marvel's Avengers on Disney XD, after that pretty much on Disney for the rest of the day. He nudges my hand to make me change the channel.

Going to get some more greens as all I have is mustard and if I were him I'd more than that. I'll report later.

No time to get greens mom needed a shower so I got crickets (again from pet store) and cricket feed. Mom will get greens tonight after work. They're selling super worms and mealworms but the lady said they should eat worms when they're full grown since we only get large ones. You guys say 16" but my mom believing them about feeding adult worms to adult dragons...I suppose that's right, but some hit 16" before a year. I guess she's right...Idk how long mine is. The lady said she has dragons too and sticks to crix till they're old enough to eat worms to keep away from impaction.

I won't feed him worms (except tiny worms) I just want to ask is she right? 16" is a year old dragon isn't it?

It is cute that he nudges my hand I have to get a picture of it for you guys. He just seems to stop before I get my phone out.

I've always waited until mine are a year old before I introduce grown superworms. I have minis and smalls for Ariel and Nathaniel but nothing bigger than that. The phoneix worms are great for him anyway, roaches and crickets to give him a variety. He couldn't ask for better than that!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
