Ants killed my crickets

I had a tupperware with a few hundred crickets in it. This worning I woke up to find ants ALL OVER. Most of the crickets were dead Any suggestions as to barries I can put up to keep these pests out?

You can try either Vaseline or double side sticky tape on the outside of the cricket tub. Other options are to sit the tub in a shallow container of water, the ants won't swim to get to it. Borax sprinkled in a circle around the tub is supposed to work pretty good too.

I'd go with the vaseline. While ants can't swim they will commit suicide to make a bridge for the rest.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I will definitely try all of those and see what works out best. I now officially hate ants

Soo...I tried the vasoline AND double sided tape. Those suckers still got past BOTH. Anymore suggestions?
