Crickets

Any suggestions on how to keep crickets alive longer? I buy 250 at a time from premium crickets and they are kept in a 10 gallon tank wrapped in black aquarium back ground. They always have carrots in with them for food and hydration

Good hydration helps, i cut the bottom out of 20 oz water bottles and fill them full of cotton balls so the crickets don't drown. Keeping them clean helps a little as well.
Banded crickets live a bit longer and aren't as loud if you can get them.
