18 or 24 inch Reptisun?

I have a 36x18x18 40 gallon enclosure and was wondering is it ok to have a 18" or will a 24" Reptisun be better across the back? Is too much UVB a bad thing?

The 18" will be long enough for your tank... you want your light to at least 1/2 to 2/3 the length of your tank.

I am wondering the same thing. I only have a 10gallon now for my baby beardie, but was wondering if the 18' reptiSUN will be sufficient for a bigger enclosure or if I'll have to upgrade again. What type of fixture is best with reptisun?

The UVB needs to be min half the length of the tank. A regular under counter T8 light fixture from walmart will work.

the 18" reptisun works perfectly in a ten gallon if you mount in on the inside. just get an under the counter fixture from walmert, change the bulb, and hang with 3M double sided tape.
