HAHA :lol: Yeah, about the best answer you'll probably find. There to no real rhyme or reason why these things happen, they just do. Keep your receipt, places like Lowe's will give you a refund/replacement for a bulb that didn't last the hours advertised on the package. They get credit for the return if within 90-days of purchase. Can't tell you the times I have replaced my plant grow lights, but coming from a retail background, I don't abuse the system. If I go through two bulbs, lets say 12,000 hours is the guarantee, breaks/burns out at 8,000, next one lasts me another 8,000. That's 16,000 total, I got my 12,000 collectively, so I'll buy another bulb.
