    Exo Terra Warning!

If you've got a petsmart you can basically buy the item, test it out and return it if you don't like it. So long as you have your receipt and the original packaging (try not to tear it all up when you open) you're golden :) I've returned many a stupid reptile accessory that was a great idea at...

    Exo Terra Warning!

I agree Exo Terra makes some of the worst quality stuff out there. Most of the gimmicky type reptile things don't work half as well as they say they do. They say they solve some sort of problem but rarely do they ever. In the end, simple is better. I would suggest shopping at Petsmart if you...

    Sandbox?

First I have a question :?: :?: :?: does your beardie have a hide? If he doesn't have someplace dark to hide in that may be why he is burrowing. If he has a hide and is still at it then maybe he is trying to dig. I personally have seen the difference sand can make to a dragon who likes to...

    Environment Concerns

Because of the heating and special lighting the humidity is lower in your viv than in the house. I live in Washington where our humidity is usually 50%+ and have never had an issue with humidity. So long as your dragon isn't getting sick you should be fine

    Pooping in the same spot

I would move it. It isn't bad to move things around. Most beardie parents find rearranging their vivs very rewarding. Some dragons will go through a bit of relocation stress if you rearrange major parts of the viv but at most he wouldn't eat for few days to a week. Sometimes change is good...

    Certain Spot

Maybe he's telling you "Hey! That's MY house!". From my experience dragons are very possessive!

    Beard Puffing :(

heights may make him feel insecure. Relative to his size, 3 or 4 feet in the air can be pretty scary!

    baby supers???

There is a great thread with tons of helpful info on breeding supers. viewtopic.php?f=76&t=100703 I've started my own colony with the info provided there. I'm up to about 30 beetles, waiting for my other aliens to finish morphing. All my beetles morphed within the last week or so so it's still...

    A vegi he will love??

I wouldn't suggest using this is a staple. None of what comes in that is a good staple item for your dragon. Check out this list if you haven't already http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html If you read the blurbs at the top it gives you good info on what kind of nutritional...

Anyone else have to hand feed greens?

I have to hand feed Bob his greens most of the time. This habit was started by his previous owners. He wasn't handled much and most of his human contact was by hand feeding so it's been tough to break him of this. Most of the time he won't touch his green unless I feed them to him

    bearding in/after a bath

Are you running the water while the dragon is in the bath? If so that may be the problem as most dragons don't like running water. Dragons are funny creatures and it could be one simple thing that they don't like. Maybe it's too hot or too cold or maybe your dragon needs a rock to sit on to feel...

Justs lays in 1 spot now?

If you just got him a few days ago he could be going through a bit of relocation stress from his move. Even if you knew the dragon before, the change in his environment and moving can really stress them out causing your dragon not to eat or even not to move around a lot. He may need a few days...

Does your beardie turn black when you leave?

UTH aren't advised for beardies because the don't sense the heat under them as well and can easily burn their belly. I'd suggest using basking lamps instead.

Superworm Care and Breeding, a Step by Step Guide

Well, day 9 on my superworm project and I have 3 "aliens". Only had one at the start of the day, but by noon I had 2 more. I'm expecting quite a few of the other ones that are curled up should be turning in the next day or so. Aliens are so creepy looking

    Tail Shedding or Infection?

Perfect! I'm glad that worked out well for you! I'd suggest giving them a bath once a week at least. It's a great way to keep them hydrated and good for their skin :)

    Very Urgent please help!!!

You could always put the container in a container but I've heard the highest likelihood to loose one of the Dubias is during cleaning. Crickets are notorious escape artists. And they smell! Superworms are easy to keep with almost no chance of escape unless you drop them. I highly recommend...

Does your beardie turn black when you leave?

Yesterday was one of those very busy days and we were out of the house all day. I get home and Bob is glaring at me, beard black as coal. So I picked him up and pet him for a while and he was super snuggly, it was so cute! I could tell he was mad that we were all gone all day!

Weird behavior after bath ... ?!

Sounds to me like he's working on getting a shed loose. Maybe his bath softened him up enough. Most dragons will rub on things when they're shedding to help loosen the skin. Some of the positions my dragon has gotten himself into to try to remove shed on his head... let me tell you it's...

Superworm Care and Breeding, a Step by Step Guide

You just want to be careful not to let the temps get too much above 90 or you may end up with die offs. And be sure not to place them in direct sunlight, one not to roast them and two because they like it dark :)

Retained shed or ??? (pic heavy)

Would it grow over a few days like that? I haven't seen him rubbing his chin on anything (other than getting comfy at bed time) so I'm reluctant to think it's a callous. lol he's still giving me the stink eye... he's good at holding a grudge!
