Wound near eye

help my bd has a small wound about 2 mm away from the eye it is the size of 2 grains of salt (ground) there is no bleeding will it heal naturally of do I need to do something

Hello,

Since the small wound is near the eye, you can use some unpasteurized honey on it, to ward off any infection. Could he have scratched it shedding or on a rock in his tank?
Do you have any pictures of him?

Hi sorry I have not replied
The wound did get better but then I went on holiday and came back and it got a bit bigger and a few grains of sand in it. I'll add a pic today thanks

oh and by the way what's a modiator I'm just curious :wink:

If sand was in it, that was most definitely irritating it! Pictures would be great when you get a chance.

Hi I've got a question he is shedding now and half of his head has gone whight?

The white/gray color isn't anything to worry about. They shed in patches so you may see his head go white one day, or a hand, or part of his back etc. It will eventually just peel and shed on it's own and return to normal color with the new set of skin.
