Why does calcium powder have an expiry date?

There is no point in still using it. going around the house to find some recyclables is enough to go buy a new tub of it that isn't expired.
I'm not sure anyone besides the company really knows what happens after its expired.... But it has an expiration date for a reason.

Like anything else that is intended to be ingested, the FDA requires an expiration date even if it's something that can't go bad. Calcium doesn't go bad, the additives they add to the calcium mix might however. If it's straight calcium powder then you'll be fine, if it has other minerals, vitamins, or additives to it you should probably replace it.
