When to change uvb light

When do y’all think I should change my reptisun 10.0 T5 22in bulb? I know it says 6-12 months but would y’all say closer to 6 months or closer to 12 months? I don’t have a uvb reader

Manufacturer recommendation is every 12 months. In my testing they are still putting out adequate UVB even after 12 months.

Manifacturers want to sell you more lights so they will probably recommend you to change them more often then really necessary.
But also don't take unnecessary risks (by going well over the recommendation) and put your dragons health first
