what kind of fixture does a reptisun 10.0 need?

Im looking for a cheap fixture that can run a 10.0 without problems...please help.

Run down to your local walmart and pick up a under cabinet fixture for the correct size of your Reptisun. Just use the two screws to afix this to your enclosure, or place without the plastic covering right on top of your screen over the tank (?).

I just got a fixture like you described at Home Depot yesterday for a 36" bulb, and it cost $44! Why did I think it would be around $20?

Does anyone know of a cheaper solution?

I just get the cheap ones at the hardware store you would use to put a light under a counter. It cost like 10 bucks.

Got one at Lowes! Walmart didn't have anything bigger tahn 24", but at Lowe's I got a 48" for $15!! So I returned the 36" expensive one.

Well, now that I got the thing out of the box, I don't think it's going to work. It's by Cooper Lighting. With this fixture the bulb actually sticks out past the housing of the fixture, which means the bulb would be resting directly on the mesh on top of the tank. I have a Showcase Cage, so the fixture will not be mounted to the ceiling on the inside of the tank, it will be sitting in a cut-out on the top of the tank.

So, I think I'm back to the $43 one. Any other suggestions?

Let me ask you this, is the enclosure all glass with a metal screen top ?

It's a Showcase Cage, so it's a hard plastic with a metal screen cut out for the bulb.

When i went to get a fixture for my uvb I asked about one at the pet store where I bought my bulb and they tried to sell me a fish tank top with a fixture in it for $125 and told me I wouldn't find anything else. I said "k" then left, went to Rona and bought a fixture for $22.
