I noticed a few waxworms in my bin had turned a brownish color and kind of look like they are in a cocoon.
I know they are alive because when i touch them, the head wiggles.Any ideas as to what is happening to them?

Are they in the refrigerator? If they aren't being kept cool then they could be turning into moths. If they are refrigerated then they could be dying. They slowly turn brown until they eventually turn all black.

Hi if they are not kept in the frig, and they are moving in there cocoons, they are still etable by your pet, even the moth is etable. So don't throw them away they are great food still. Linda :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
