oh it will be a wait. I just bought the entertainment center. I was planning on taking a month and doing a little at a time.

That is a ceramic tile with a cobblestone look and a rough textured finish.

Well I have had three days off work because of the weather here in beautiful Illinois, so I worked faster in the viv. Three coats of water based primer, a little wiring and some holes cut and we are ready for light bulbs and the fun stuff that we will be filling it with so Draco will feel at home. I am probably going to wait a couple weeks before putting the doors on to let it air out as much as possible. I did learn one valuable lesson about using a hole saw on laminated wood. Can you find my screw up?

Wow thats looking pretty good! I would suggest one thing though.. One problem that i ran into after ours was finished was I couldn't get Scarlett close enough to the UVB bulb and we ended up having to lower it.. So just make sure you will have some way of getting your beardie close to the uvb at least 8-10 inches away.. Looks great though!

Some one in another thread was nice enough to post a very good lighting study. I will be putting a reflector on the uvb bulb and building a basking spot up high enough to get proper temps and UV. Thanks for the thoughts.

Sounds perfect.. We lowered our light but we are also in the process of building some sort of rock structure to go across the back of the viv with a platform of some sort.. Still haven't figured out all the details yet..

At long last the task is complete. I am sorry we did not post more as we went but we were kind of self conscious about what we were doing. We are however kind of proud of the final results. So with out further adieu...

the first Castle we built was just to much and not sturdy enough.

The second castle is a better fit. this is the basic box and bare walls.

Now the painting starts.

One more dry fit.

Now with the lights and doors.

The castle was then stormed!!!!!!
