Surgery

My beardie has a lump on his tail that the vet thinks is either a tumor or cyst. He wants to go right ahead and take it off. We have surgery scheduled for 1/29 and I’m honestly really scared about the anesthesia. Looking for some reassurance/other owners whose beardies have been fine after going under. Thanks.

Please post a pic of the tail- as far as I know cyst/ abscess don't need surgery - they are usually drained and then given an antibiotic to prevent infection- what type of surgery? Seems they can differentuate between the two- flagging to Tracie our vet tech

And if it does need surgery they usually handle even major surgery such as spaying and removal of large amounts of eggs [ requiring a large cut on the belly] very well.

Hello,

Yes, please post a picture of the tail for us, so we can
see what it all looks like.
Most of the time, if the anesthesia is properly given, they
normally don't have too much trouble being under during
surgery. They may be groggy & tired for a few days just
following the surgery due to the anesthesia but usually do
just fine.

Tracie

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
