tail rot??

his tail is dark and ashy on the end, i looked through old pics and it's always kinda looked like this but i just now noticed and am wondering if it's cause for concern. thanks

The dull and the dark is shed --- if the tail on the end would have nips -- bites- pinches then possibly tail rot - it would be black the end would look dried out looking and dead looking --

Hello,

Yes, that is all pre-shed pigmentation. They develop a lot of various shades of gray, brown, etc
right before a shed. His tail looks healthy.
He is very sweet!

It might not even be pre-shed. Dragons can darken their tails just like they can darken their beards. Here's one of my girls tails.

She is not pre shed. Her tail darkens when she is alert and exploring

That is an impressive dark tail! LOL
It is surprising just how dark they can turn tail tips like that.
