Sleeping during the day..

Hi guys,

Is it normal tha my beardie is like taking long nap during the day?
(he sleep 10 hours last night..)

when he's not sleeping he move normally.

Yepp its fine my adults do that during the day when they were babies they also did that as well.
As long as your beardie is moving when its a wake eating its normal.

I believe they have "cat Naps" like we do during the day

MIne also sleep 12 hours a night and 12 hours of lighs on 8am - 8 pm

Do you think i need to close his light for 12hours and be on fors 12 hours instead of 10hours the light off and 14 the light on?

I get him 2 days ago, he still does not eat more than 3 crickets a day..

If you only got him two days ago, then I would say it is perfectly normal. For the first week or two he will probably be quite slow as he could be stressed out and not use to his surroundings. :wink:

I think most of us here keep our lights on a 12 hour on/off rotation. Mine personally is set for 6:20am-7:00pm, but he would go right asleep if I turned them off at 6:20pm.
Everyone's dragon is different though. If your guy stays awake til the lights go off you could probably leave them as is, but if you notice him going to sleep earlier you should adjust the time accordingly. And yes mid-day naps are fine

hard to say if he's tired or he's just not moving alot, like during the day.. loll
But i'll look for that more attentivly (mmmm don't know if thats really how we wrote tha.. whatever)
