I put some honey, but she's licking it. Applying it wasn't easy, she didn't like me touching her face too much.
I noticed that she's rubbing her face on the carpet or wood, but I think it's a means to get rid of the shed. It's hard and not coming off easily. I'm a little worried that her left nostril is blocked off because of the shed.
Any tips on easier ways to apply the honey/cream? What are the benefits to the honey in this case?
Yeah that pic definitely shows some infection going on. Poor little one, it's pretty uncomfortable for her so she'll keep rubbing it like we would want to scratch a rash or poison ivy.
Apply the cream or honey as often as you can, try for 3-4 X a day but she might need an experienced reptile vet and some antibiotics.
Bless her, that probably doesn't feel very well at all! As AHBD suggested, try applying the honey a couple of times daily to see if that helps out.
Hopefully you wont have to get her to the vet for antibiotics, but keep trying. Let us know how she is doing.
