PLEASE HELP! IMPACTION???

I cleaned my beardies cage yesterday and washed his repticarpet. It got all pilly and he keeps ripping them off and eating them. He hasn’t eaten much today and seems agitated/dark. Should I go buy a new one? Is he impacted?

I would replace it if it's starting to wear like that. That's the down side to using repticarpet - it doesn't hold up that well with regular cleaning. I prefer using solid substrate like non adhesive shelf liner or tile for this reason. It's easier to clean and is durable. I've found that fleece tends to hold up better with frequent washes if you prefer a softer substrate.
