$200 isn't bad at all! In the past two months, I've spent well over $500 at the vet. Bad couple months with the snakes.
It depends on what kind of parasites they are. Internal parasites (coccidia, pins, etc) can only be spread to you through feces or something that has been in feces. External parasites (primarily mites) can be spread through contact. In either case, I agree, be really careful about keeping yourself (and Gem) clean, easpecially when you handle MoMo.spurlee01":05c50 said:Wow Jacqui!
I completely missed this post until now, but I wanted to say good luck and congratulations.
Also, no one mentioned this yet, but make sure that you are washing your hands and even changing your clothes in between handling your dragons. It is very likely as you suspect that Gem has parasites and some of them, from my understanding, can attach to your clothing then be passed from dragon to dragon. I know this is a pain and more laundry, but it's better than having two sick babies. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong and parasited cannot travel on human clothing).
