I am using a 150 watt bulb with uvb built in. His basking area is around 100 degrees and he’s 5 months old, we gave him water and he seems to be doing better but hasn’t eaten yet I will post a pic when I get home. I have a thermostat from the pet store in his tank. and we feed him small sized dubia roachesKarrieRee":1mrhurgf said:Please post a pic of the tank and lighting -- what are your basking temps and how are you taking them? What UVB are you using? No coils please ----- what are you feeding and how big are the insects? Have you looked in his mouth to see if there is anything there? You may need a second person to look and use a flashlight to really see if anything is in there -- try using a credit card to open his mouth go in from the side and slide it in to get him to open

What brand -- please get a digital probe thermometer ASAP to get accurate basking temps - hes not going to eat w/ out proper basking temps and proper UVB -- please post a pic of the tank and lighting so we can better help

http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder
salads need to be fed every morning -- I would get some BSFL from here order large DO NOT DUST-www.symptonbsf.com -- add to the tops of his salads as lures to the salad bowl use as many as you want they are a great staple feeder and a good compliment to the dubias -- • https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Reptile-Ceramic-Leopard-Bearded/dp/B084VJJWTV?pf_rd_r=R0HNPKXJ2ZARWAT5MPAH&pf_rd_p=c5b6893a-24f2-4a59-9d4b-aff5065c90ec&pd_rd_r=0173f98f-f39b-4d44-9f76-6ae4d88c419b&pd_rd_w=AuGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d
Make sure your dusting the dubias 5 x per week w/ calcium D3 ONCE per feeding lighting coated and Vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly coated
The basking temps and UVB are the TWO MOST important things in the tank so those need to be corrected first before he will eat -- once I see what is in the tank I can help you get it fixed so we need to work on that first -- you need 2 of these one for the basking side and one for the cool side

KarrieRee":3i2pom2a said:Ok once I see what the UVB is I can better help --- pet stores are not the best for getting help and set up --- most do not know how to care for dragons sadly --- I can help you get him eating but we must start w/ the basking temps and the UVB --- imperative!!!!!

Please get rid of the purple bulb -- dragons need dark and cool to sleep and the purple bulb is disturbing his sleep plus it can cause long term eye damage - dragons have a 3rd on on top of their heads for predators and that light is not good - they have better eye sight than we do -- please get rid of the UV Super Sun it is a off yellow or yellowish bulb -- you want a bright white basking bulb - if you want to stay w/ a UVB get a Power Sun or Mega Ray -- but your gonna haft to invest in a long tube fixture as well - the MVB do not emit enough UVB for dragons and we often recommending getting a long tube to make sure UVB is covered -- so w/ that in mind I would change out the lighting system all together --- get a Zoo Med or Sunblaster Nano or a Arcadia Pro T 5 w/ a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or Arcadia 12% bulb - you want a 24" fixture and a 22" bulb -- I would get either the Zoo Med or the Sunblaster Nano - the Pro T 5's are sold out --
https://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/light-fixtures/products/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-hood?variant=26907425734756
You will need to order the 10.0 T 5 the fixture comes w/ a 5.0 you can hang onto it for a back up but placement and distance is different from the 10.0 bulb https://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/t5-lighting/products/zoo-med-reptisun-10-0-uvb-t5?variant=26907418591332 22" bulb
https://hydrobuilder.com/sunblaster-nanotech-t5-ho-fixture-with-6400k-lamp.html?opts=eyJhdHRyaWJ1dGU5MDEiOiI2NjA0In0= get the 24" fixture
Your dragon will not eat w/ out correct basking temps and properly placed UVB --- please order this ASAP ---- the shaking is not good --- MBD could be the cause -- when you get the UVB please post back on here so I can help you get it set up
The basking bulb needs to be a bright white bulb that keeps temps 105-110 for a baby ---95-100 for a adult / juvie dragon -- please adjust accordingly and make sure your using a digital probe thermometer
He was shaking while coughing trying to dislodge something , overnight he is better and he probably fixed it but I will still replace my bulbs and do what you said I will send a link of the video I have from yesterdayKarrieRee":28m2ikgr said:The shaking is concerning --- he should not be shaking and it is a characteristic of MBD-- record on your tube then post the link -- you want good UVB and a bright white basking bulb -- no off white or yellowish bulbs --- this is imperative to the over all health and behavior of the dragon
Thank you so much by the wayKarrieRee":2ljdze89 said:
