Moving from US to Canada

Anyone traveled with their Bearded Dragon from US to Canada? I am concerned about Customs etc.

It might not be an issue between Canada and the US, but I know when you want to bring a pet into another country (say Japan) it has to go through a quarantine period. You might be able to produce paperwork from a vet and that be enough. I bet a phone call to the airport can answer this question for ya.

As long as you don't have any turtles, tortises, or any endangered species, you should be fine. Just be wary of provincial wildlife regulations.

In other words: If it's just your beardie that's coming across, your good to go.

You may have problems with feeder insects. I'm pretty sure you can't bring in roaches in Canada, don't know about crickets or worms. Please keep us informed!

Bring the paperwork a head of time. Most people in customs are afraid of lizards. Just make sure you get the papers filled out and make sure you know the sepices/genus names w/e. It was a pain in the ass for me cuz i couldnt pronounce that sientific name **** let alone spell it.

I just did this recently (3 weeks ago) with my bearded dragon, they never asked anything about him. Told them i'm bring a dog and bearded dragon. Never had to show papers or anything else.
