Looking for egg crates for dubia

Can someone tell me where to get the large egg crates used for dubia colony?

You can get tons for free by asking around local dining restaurants, especially those that serve breakfast.

I got my for free at Mcdonald's and Denny's...try to go there at night cuz that's the time they will have the most. I've heard you can buy them at feed store too.

cup holders at fast food places work great too.

Picking them up at local restaurants is great and I've done it several times. Just need to make sure they are clean without dried egg dribbles. If all else fails, I order from www.eggcartons.com.

We've done that too :lol: I've started saving toilet paper rolls and considering tying a bunch of them together with some hemp rope and then stacking the bundles. Time will tell...

I went to a local restaurant and talked to the manager asking him nicely if I could have some egg crates and telling him what they're for. They are usually intrigued when I start talking about dragons!
He said come back tomorrow and gave me about 20 crates which he said is about how many eggs they use per day!
