the reason im asking is because i had a 100 watt bulb on my tank but was told it was too hot cause my tank is so small (10 gallon, only temporary) and to switch to a 60 watt. so i knew i had some 60 watt bulbs lying around somewhere and they turned out to be "soft white". after changing bulbs i checked the temp and it only reaches a max of 89 right under the basking spot.
with the 100 watt its about 114.
im thinkin of switchin to a 75 watt bulb, would that be better?
which one should i keep in, in the meantime??

I would use the 100w and just find a way to move the fixture away from the enclosure a little more. my fixture has a clamp on it and I used suspend that from a hanger above my enclosure... when my heat was too high. What do you use to check your temps?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
