How to tell if it's yellow fungus?

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can tell the difference between yellow fungus and the dragon's coloring? I have tried youtube and image searching but I really can't tell. Are there other symptoms? Thanks!

Y.F. will often be crusty and irregular. Areas can also have open lesions or also be almost black. Sometimes in early stages it can be mistaken for shed, but it's pretty easy to tell from coloring since natural color is usually symmetrical.
